Home Life

Hello! You may have seen a few changes on the blog today, yay!! I have been looking at my blog and of course loving it because this is my place, I prefer it over any social media outlet. I’ve always gravitated to having my own space for thoughts and words. So thanks for being here and seeing the cute little floral touches on the blog here and there.

This past weekend was so relaxing, we did a little yard work but not a lot, we cleaned, I cleaned toilets which honestly makes me want to barf but I did it. I had Benjamin vacuum the house, it was just really chill! Not a big long list so we got to cook, order food and also binge watch the Sopranos on Amazon Prime TV. I’ve never seen it before and I’m totally into it now. By the way, Benjamin is begging to have our cleaning lady back which means he either doesn’t like my cleaning job or he doesn’t want to clean himself. I’m going with the latter.

I decided to pick the pink lemons and make some lemonade. Google Home couldn’t give me a good recipe because the first one was four hours and I was like nope, and I changed my mind. But then after some of you DMed me with help, I remembered I had frozen lime juice so last night I made limeade! And it was fantastic, go me! Only the container is so big it won’t fit in the fridge so I left it out over night so let’s just hope that’s cool for a while.

If I keep up this home life of making things I need a plastic container that’s smaller, I am just such a purger and I had one from the 99 Cents Only store of course but donated it. I always told myself if I needed it and found a use for it, then I’ll rebuy it so it looks like I’ll be doing that. I really miss going out and shopping a lot. The stores I want to go to immediately Home Goods, Macy’s and the 99 Cents Only store.

I bought this sweat jumpsuit at the Macy’s Last Act section for $20. They have the best clothes there and I rarely get the chance to go, I have to really be intentional and I love going with my friends because we are in the same mindset wanting to look for clothing bargains. Of course now I don’t have much room at the moment in the closet so it has to be 100% worth it which means I need to get rid of something to make room.

Or they say, unwant the item before you buy it helps too. I’m doing a lot of that as well.

In regards to the home life and what’s going on, it’s been three weeks of us waiting for a quote to finish our landscaping quote and we are going to assume he’s not interested in the job. It’s a bummer because we sure wanted to get things done right now but we also don’t want to force anyone who doesn’t want to take the job. So, here we are booking people again to finish the job which is not what I want to do, but what else do I have going on right now at the moment…

This week we have people stopping by to measure and look at what needs to get done around here, new interior doors and front landscaping before the heat gets here.
