Grapefruit season

Indeed it is, hence our citrus themed backyard reception we held at the house this past Saturday.

I am absolutely exhausted.  We had nearly 100 guests to celebrate and it was so nice to see all and open up our home and introduce our friends to each other.  Mr. Wonderful’s parents came out from Illinois and so did grandma, we had an amazing week together at the house.

Thank you to every one who came and for those who couldn’t make it, your presence was very much missed!  We are so appreciative of every one who took time out of their Saturday to spend it with us!  My favorite was seeing the neighbors and the kiddos enjoying the outdoor games.  I can’t wait to share photos with you all – after the wedding debuts in a week online!

Diana Elizabeth loved seeing guests and family enjoy the grapefruits.  If you want some, come on over!  Mr. Wonderful’s mom made an awesome grapefruit pie! Ah-mazing!

Grapefruit pie? I have yet to try that. Hmmm…gotta look out for that next time. :)

I’m not much of a gardener … let’s face it, everything I plant doesn’t survive long. But I always see your cute little backyard on the blog and your gorgeous fruit trees and want them! So we recently moved and have a huge back yard and I think it’s time … to take the plunge into gardening. Can’t wait to have bright citrus colors lining my yard.
