I
had an incredible four days with my girlfriends along the Washington and Oregon coast. My girlfriend’s parents have this gorgeous vacation home in Long Beach, Washington (not California I know that’s confusing). I thought I’d share some sights from the fun trip (though we often just lounged and explored) and also share the outfits I packed for this trip. Since I was along the coast you know what that means, Lilly Pulitzer! My friends from Lilly sent me some great pieces for fall and I wanted to share because they are so gorgeous and great quality.
Let’s quickly talk about where I stayed – this was so lovely (the home in the background isn’t it, it was actually to the right but I was trying to take a photo of their landscape (which belongs to my friends) and this so happened to be a better angle.
The view from the living room was surreal, and so were the surroundings – we could walk to the beach, the backyard was the beach!

The weather was nice enough that I could enjoy ice cream outside without it melting like crazy! That’s kind of a triumph haha!

There were so many homes with the cedar shake look, after all we were on the coast. It made my heart flutter and you might know that we have fiber cement shake (same look, different material) for our home expansion and we will have that on our garage expansion. I just love coastal and of course wish I could live closer to the coast, but since I don’t, I can enjoy a lifestyle of visiting it as often as I can!
I picked mint chocolate chip ice cream and black cherry, my two favorites. Well, those are just two of the dozen favorite ice cream flavors I have. I also love mocha almond fudge (add sliced bananas and you’ve totally healthed it up), rocky road, peanut butter cup, orange sherbet, I pretty much love ice cream.
Long Beach, Washington is the world’s longest beach. You can also drive on the beach – is that nuts? We saw someone stuck and Brittany and Rachel ran out to help. I just sat in the backseat because honestly what could I even do? I debated then I waited to see if they needed help but they had jumped back in pretty quickly because others came with a larger car and looked more equipped. I said I would pick them both as partners for Amazing Race and they laughed and said, “No offense Di, we wouldn’t pick you back but we’d pick each other.” Then I reminded them they needed me because I’d be good television. They agreed.
I am also incredibly handy and good at puzzle solving and efficiency. I know I win in that. I don’t have stamina or muscles but I know my strengths. Good for television, most important, LOL.
We hopped on the car on a rainy day and headed into Oregon – Sea side and Cannon Beach!

I love this cardigan I think I need to pack it with me to France next month! It gives me Chanel vibes. I also want to bring attention to the sweet pearl necklace made by my friend Nicole of An Old Soul Jewelry. We met years ago when I modeled for her jewelry company.
