Four years!

We got married six months after our first date – a wedding with a handful of close family and friends just to be quick – because we just knew we wanted to be married and together without waiting, without much planning. It’s true, when you know, you just know.

I’ll never forget the moment when my dad walked into our cabin to walk me down to my first look (I didn’t walk down a traditional aisle), and I saw Benjamin waiting for me, getting his portraits taken. I remember feeling so in love and realizing that every thing that had ever happened in my life, falling in and out of relationships, falling in love with Jesus, all of the things that happened in my life happened so I could be where I was at that very moment, marrying the man of my dreams, who God intended.

We flew out Ryan Ray from Dallas who has since been named in the top 10 wedding photographers and shot covers for Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. I had my eye on his talents before Benjamin became Mr. Wonderful – because I also believe when it comes to your wedding photographer, you just sorta know that instantly, too.
