Outside my window…Albuquerque, New Mexico. I’m currently out here visiting my friends relaxing through the weekend. Sometimes, you just need to be surrounded by people who have loved you for a long time and jump into someone else’s life just to escape from yours.
I am thinking…about how I’m going to be bi-winning. (That one was for you Rachelle!) #charliesheen
I am thankful for…old friends. I am loving that the older I get, the older my friendships have become. Recently had a nice long dinner with Nicole (co-owner of Uptown Bridal & Boutique) and we’ve been friends for 10+ years now, since our Fiesta Bowl Princess years. I was left feeling so happy that evening. Also having friends Brenna and Rachelle happily agree to model for a concept shoot coming up the end of this month. New friends are awesome and when they become old friend, they become just priceless.
From the kitchen…you mean Michelle’s kitchen? I am not cooking, I am staying with a real-life Martha Stewart. I brought stretchy pants.
I am creating…oh the stacks of folders that I have brought with me on my vacation? Endless. I’m creating framework designs for two websites, one corporate and a new redesign for my pretty little FORD model and pageant coach friend. Stay tuned.
I am going…to enter the most insane next few months of my life, beginning in April. Wedding season, here I come! Excited to see my brides in their white dresses, happy, giddy and so in love. I love my brides!
I am reading…magazines with pictures. I do not feel like reading at the moment. I feel like my reading consists of contracts lately.
I am hoping…to find the perfect single-family house and that my townhome will sell quickly when I do. I’m on the prowl and so excited! Yay! You know my MLS listing will have the best photos right? Why, of course. Also how I’m going to get 2 new websites done while marketing for one of my favorite Silver Spoon Studio clients and shoot two weddings in the next month. Self pep talk: Gotta win. Duh.
I am hearing…my own fingers type on the keyboard of my MacBook. Gosh I love Mac.
Around the house…my house is full of lists waiting for me to tackle them, laundry to sort through and camera equipment everywhere!
One of my favorite things…CLF clothes on Etsy. Amazing wedding gowns and dresses. I’m in love.
A few plans for the rest of the week…I am on vacation relaxing…I think! I am doing nothing but chasing an active 2 year old around, holding a baby and just hanging out and catching up on business work emails at night when the family goes to bed.
Diana Elizabeth ended up buying a cute bench from Rust and Roses after the shoot, because she adores the store. She imagines it being placed in a field during an engagement session. Unfortunately she is awfully bad at scaling when buying things, and it wouldn’t fit in her SUV so thankfully makeup artist Lizzy Marsh drove her big truck and hauled it to the house after the shoot. It proudly sits in the living room waiting for that perfect engagement session. Who wants to use it?
