Dining room in progress

Well the chandelier is up, and you might be thinking, hey, can I see the rest of it? No way, dude. This is all I can show you this week my friend.

The dining room adventure is almost comical. Because nothing is not going my way. A sneak peak wouldn’t even be pretty – the room looks like a disaster (it’s just incomplete) and I took this photo at an angle so you won’t see that the oil painting isn’t centered – on the to do list.  My idea of pleating curtains came to a fail on several occasions and every item in the dining room has a disaster story – except the table. To say I’m ready for this room to be finished would be an understatement!

This wouldn’t be a big deal if we weren’t hosting weekly small group. When you entertain on a weekly basis, it puts a little more stress on a perfect home. Has it really only been a month since we I crazily decided to undergo this dining room overhaul?

As I was looking around still dreaming of pleating curtains, look at this gorgeous trim I found from Lewis and Sheron Textiles.

It’s $50 a yard. I like it a lot (in Jim Carrey’s Dumb and Dumber voice).

No, I can’t have it because I’ve spent too much already! *Slapping my own hand*

Maybe one day, when I prove I can make better home improvement decisions.

When I finally reveal our dining room, it’s going to be one heck of a celebration and we shall feast like kings and queens!
