Diana Diaries: I like to be on vacation (so I’m going on one)

ell, sounds like not much has changed since I was 10. Still like to be on vacation. I’m really tired. I still value the power of a nap.

I have been quite distracted lately, in the best way possible. I have a big trip coming up in a week and a half – 9 full days with friends who are like family – and includes 3 kiddos. Yep. My girlfriend Lauren was like, Wait what? Kids can make or break a vacation, I know!! I’ll blog more about that decision but I am so so excited and I know it’ll be a fun time.

So while I have a vacay on the calendar, it also means I am turning down jobs that are due while I’m away. Bummer, but not really.

I told Benjamin I wanted to work less these next few months so I could really enjoy the holidays – yeah we’ll see how that goes, haha. But really, I don’t like it when it flies by and I feel like all I did was work when what I want to do is holiday shop, be with friends, throw parties and dinner parties and just love on everyone in my life without feeling like I’m rushing and the new year is here.

With the garage expansion, landscape design (HUGE project!), repainting the house, and well, selling our townhome and closing the door as landlords soon, it’s a lot. Oh, and with me being out of the country during a very busy time, it’s going to be a little nuts. But it’s OK, it just means I prioritize and while I’ve been prioritizing, my heart has been worked on. I’m so thankful for it I could cry. But I know it doesn’t mean it’s smooth sailing from here, I need to continue to work on it.

Anyway, I went through a lot of diary entries the past week which was fun (I have 22 of them) – and also incredibly disturbing.

There are a few entries I saved and filed away for the blog and I wondered if I got older if I’d get less sarcastic or blunt in my diaries but the reality is, I continue. So, you’re in for a glimpse of the inside of my head in my early twenties soon. Oh boy. I think I’m definitely going need a vacation and a long nap before I start sharing those. xx

Diana Elizabeth just ate 10 Oreos as she wrote this blog post. They are so addicting and she hasn’t had them for a long time and now she’s wondering why she hasn’t, but then she knows in a few days she’ll know why. Thanks a lot for buying them Mr. Wonderful.
