Cookie time + Brownie memories

IMG_2700

This pretty much sums up our weekend.  The only part of the Superbowl I watched was Katy Perry’s performance and then I went back to my office to organize a bit before Downton Abbey.

Girl Scout cookies are here – and if you need to find some girl scouts ASAP, they have a page that shows where a troop will be on any given day and time nearest to you.  Click here. You can buy online too!

When I was a Girl Scout brownie, I used to go door to door with my friend who was in Camp Fire and she sold mints. I loved going door to door and some people said no, actually, a lot said no back then – crazy people. Nowadays aren’t we all trying to find a girl scout like they are some kind of drug dealer and we need our cookies NOW!

I never liked that brown outfit by the way, what a color, I mean I know you’re a “brownie” but come on! I sure did have some great memories, one of those things that I’m so glad my mom put me through it even though I wasn’t quite sure about earning those badges you know? You look back and think, I’m so glad I did that, it was character building.  I probably sound like I’m rambling, I just ate an entire box five minutes ago so I am kind of on edge ;)

I tried to look through the few photos I have of my childhood to find a brownie pic but couldn’t find one – all are back in Nor Cal with my folks.  My favorite cookie has become the peanut butter, then the thin mints.  Yours?
