Comfy high tops by FitFlop

I always plan out my shoes depending on what I’m doing – there have been times when I’ve decided to run errands but then realize I’m in heels and scratch that! I’m going home and I’ll have to start over another day with a better pair of shoes. If you’re traveling, exploring or on your feet a lot for work or just life in general, the right shoes are everything – they can either make or break your day and mood.

So, here I am with my third pair of FlitFlops! I learned about FitFlop about a year ago when I took these high tops with me to North Carolina and fell in love. They are known for comfortable footwear, possibly the most comfortable in the world (and I would agree). I could walk in them all day, forever – they are so lightweight. Then Uma Thurman became the spokesperson and I tried their slide-on shoes which have also become a favorite of mine and have tons of wiggle room for toesies!

I wore high tops similar to these to Switzerland and wore them when it wasn’t raining and I felt like I could skip all day. I wanted to get another pair but just slightly different and I saw the ÜBERKNIT^™ Slip-On High Top Sneakers and said, I need these for my Prague trip this fall, and well, every day trips. Even though they’re called high tops I don’t really think they look like most high tops.

They are tighter fit like a sock so be aware if you have wider ankles – I just want to be completely up front with you. If you are worried about ankles being too tight – check out these high tops which are amazing (I have the plain black) – they are just as comfy, and less tight. They are my other favorite pair of shoes to wear, I would say I probably feel equivalent to how boys feel wearing Air Jordans – I mean I assume they’re like walking on air? :)

They are sporty, sleek and pull-on. You can fit a sock in there if you want – I wear these no show liner socks. These shoes are breathable and have stretchy laces which are really just decorative because the shoe is actually super form fitting. They come in so many different color combos so you can find the right one for your personality – of course I gravitate towards the pink shade!

Just an hour after we took these pics it rained sideways! I was at dinner with girlfriends and it was like a hurricane was happening and lasted for just 5 minutes. I photographed a portrait outdoors and I had 10 minutes of beautiful overcast shoot time before it ended up sprinkling then dumping rain on us as we drove away. This weather is unpredictable and I love it!
