How are your resolutions going? My biggest one was being on the phone more with my friends and I’ve done a pretty good job, and actually it seems as if my friends are on the same page – I’m getting more phone calls lately and I’m looooooving it.
January was a great cleaning month for me, and the yard sale went well! I bought only one thing and you’re looking at her.
Is she the cutest thing or what? I die. I’m also thinking maybe this is my go-to gift for my in-town girlfriend’s birthdays this year, not to ruin it, but sometimes I love giving them all something way too adorable that they all must have!
Plus, I feel like at this stage in life do we really need a lot of things or just something small and dainty? If you like them, check out this site for three different sizes.
I love February, it’s when the color pink floods the world – online and in stores.
In Heaven, my house will be shades of pink, I hope Paris won’t mind (I also assume he will be living with me). My friend Krystal sent me photos from this book about Dog Heaven which just made me ugly cry in front of my computer when I read it. Sometimes I worry that I’m going to be sad until the day I die missing him, I can’t explain the depth of my love for him. Two friend’s dogs passed away right after Paris and I cried when I heard the news. I realized I truly understood a friend’s broken heart and grief losing a pet, having gone through it. It also encourages me that the hard things we go through, there will be a friend, or we may turn into that friend that helps others through. Where would we be without our friends?
^^ This calendar by May Designs was in January’s POPSUGAR Must Have Box (use code SHOP5 for $5 off) they sent me and I was so proud of owner Mica. I had met Mica over a decade ago in Phoenix at a women’s business conference and we hit it off. She was a graphic designer from Texas and she pulled out the beginning stages of May Books which has then just exploded!
This year I’m feeling light and intentional about everything – my time and the things I own, it might sound crazy but even putting away laundry makes me happy and the dishes too – they are all things that I love. Marie Kondo, I’m telling you she knew what she was talking about when it comes to only keeping the things that bring you joy – you gotta try it!
