This year for our yearly Christmas party, I’ve decided to handle the drinks and food. The drinks will be this banana pineapple punch, gruyere mac and cheese – a favorite of the girls, and the main food from local eatery, Flower Child.
We usually have a pot luck style gathering but because I have time this year, I am up for the challenge! I invited my good friend Ricki who is a super talented stylist, to hang out and also assess my party supplies and help me set the scene with a trial run. She went through my things and helped me create the ideal girly setting I’m excited for our upcoming party!
I figure if people have food trial runs, why shouldn’t I try a trial run with a tablescape? :)
The antler candlestick holders (similar, and love these) I bought at a friend’s moving sale, for $15 each! They kind of stay up year-round since we’re a bit cottage-y in decor but they are perfect for the holidays too!
^^ I found the trees from Anthro (similar), after last year’s Christmas sale – that’s the best time to buy holiday if you have the storage and patience. I’m so excited to be able to use them!
I picked the Feathers Table Runner because birds of a feather flock together and I wanted to continue that theme.
I didn’t want too match match, so I chose these pink Breton Stripe Napkins – which come in different color options – as all the prints and graphics Minted features. It’s so fun to curate my own style and see what artists have created. The fabric is the premium luxury linen which I prefer – lightweight and airy. The pom pom napkin rings were just too cute!
The pink glass cups with lids are from Indonesia. I thought they were depression glass but they are so much heavier and saw “Indonesia” imprinted on the bottom. They were a gift from my mom who has the most insanely beautiful collections of fine crystals from around the world for entertaining.
Every year I display our photos from previous Christmas year parties – but this time I wanted to do a collage of some of our getaways we’ve done over the past 11 years!
^^ The personalized wrapping paper – 12 Days was so cute to wrap up some gifts too! I’m going to have some fun surprises for the girls – I have so much overflow from blogging and guess what that means … a pretty fun grab bag!
This fun heart snapshot mix collage came ready framed. Just add some command strips and throw up a banner to fill a plain wall!
These ornaments were from my Yun Yun (grandma), they are from China and they remind me when I was a little girl. I found them in my parents house and my mom said I could take them, and I took half, leaving the other half for my younger brother.
