A little bit of chaos in my life
"I'm a model, editor, blogger, a creative director—" I rattled off as though it was a to do list, as I walked quickly toward the laundry room door to head inside, it was so chilly after our shoot. Phoenix actually had a real winter this year and I was over it.
Back to Work + a New Blog Design
I've had a great break and maybe you've noticed some personal posts I've been publishing lately. Now that I've found the momentum to get back into it, it should make it much easier to integrate back with work - and now that I have a bag that fits my laptop and camera equipment, I may not have much of an excuse to not get back to work.
Feeling Golden this Holiday in Comfortable Ballet Flats
Did I ever tell you the time I wanted to be a ballerina when I was little? My mom came home with the beautiful shoes and I looked at them and was scared and I never actually took a class. I took gymnastics, but I quit before I could do a cartwheel because the challenge frightened me (I can do a cartwheel now by the way).
Palm Spring Windmills: Thankful for New Perspectives and Style Choices
My hotel gift shop sunnies are making another debut on the blog. See dad, I'm wearing them again, thanks for buying them for me!
Instagrammable Palm Springs Spot: The Monkey Tree Hotel
I discovered one of the most Instagrammable spots in Palm Springs I'm excited to share with you in hopes the next time you visit the area you can stay here. The Monkey Tree Hotel was kind to invite us to stay, courtesy of Palm Spring Preferred Small Hotels which is a collection of independent inns, villas and resorts. They are hip, modern, and you can find one that fits your specific needs - check out more hotels here. We picked my birthday weekend because of weather and well, can you think of a better time? I can't wait to show you around the resort and share some cool finds as well as share some of the latest collection of fall from one of my favorite, near and dear to my heart brands, Lilly Pulitzer - because when I think resort, palm trees, and Palm Springs, it's always Lilly attire.
Cactarium in Palm Springs
How was your Thanksgiving, Black Friday, rival football game weekend? My Thanksgiving was delicious as always since we started going to Benjamin's relatives and also get some goody leftovers to enjoy later that night and the next afternoon. We indulged heavily in Black Friday since we had lots of things to buy for the expansion and saved up, more on that in a second. The fact that the items I had been eyeing and saved on Pinterest, were all on sale, we just decided to buy buy buy! When you've been waiting for the right moment then Black Friday and Cyber Monday rolls around, oh boy! My team lost in the territorial cup, but I didn't watch the game since I was decorating the house for Christmas and Mr. Wonderful was hanging Christmas lights.
Early Black Friday Deals + $50 Credit Giveaway
Hello loves, this is the weekend to get your shop on - have you noticed? I had placed a few online orders and when they arrived I saw that the items already went on sale before I had a chance to wear them! Luckily I was able to get a price adjustment. Remember when it was just Black Friday and then sales started even earlier like Thanksgiving night, I think the sales just keep getting earlier and earlier and I don't have much of a problem with that! FitFlop, the comfortable and stylish ergonomic shoes is having an early Black Friday sale, up to 60% off! I also get to reward 5 readers $50 credits to FitFlop with a $150 minimum spend.
Taking Breaks and Rose Pruning in Floral Booties
Can we give applause to the hubs for the lush green winter rye - I am thankful for his hard work planting it solo when I was out of town traveling for a styling workshop. Now, let's talk about how adorable these pretty floral print leather boots are! They come in black and berry and are on sale as part of the 30% pretty much everything on the entire FitFlop site. Time to get your shop on. These particular booties aren't gardening boots but I'm definitely going to wear them while gardening too because they make me so so happy and are easy to put on. They look cute paired with tights and skinny jeans, and I can't wait for rain so I can slip these on.
