The Carriage House
As promised, after showcasing Boho Farm and Home, we continue with the carriage house that Caroline and David added to their 1903 downtown Phoenix home. Extra living space, and also the upstairs has a bathroom, kitchen and laundry – one could really use it as an in-law suite.
If you visit Phoenix and want to stay downtown, it’s available for stays! When Caroline told me they were building a carriage house I pretended I knew what she was talking about, haha, and when I saw it complete I was like, wow that is definitely the right name because look at this beauty! There is a garage too!
Let’s start with the bottom floor which is separate from the top floor. The bottom floor they use for their oldest daughter when she visits – until they expand the attic in the main home for her. The bathroom is my favorite.

The view back to the front of the carriage house. It’s like another space for relaxing like a nice reading room and where the TV is located.
I know you enjoy looking at details as much as I do – the things that make a home feel cozy. To me, that means adding some antiques, hanging them on the wall and unique furniture pieces.

I love a slipcovered sofa. Here’s the other side, I put two photos above my TV in the living room too to fill up that space so I love that Caroline did the same – it means I’m on the right track with design!
I love the lamps along side the television too! Look at that collection of books! I wish I read more, I used to read all the time growing up and through college but I stopped when life got busy with other things and it’s been harder for me to pick up a book. Maybe I just need a really good one :)

And that’s downstairs, let’s ahead upstairs to the carriage house where you can rent to stay on Air bnb!

What a view of the yard! Downtown Phoenix sure looks good thanks to Caroline and the greenery has grown in so quickly over the past two years. It’s a great location close to earthing downtown and the conventions that go on and the sporting events.
When you walk in, you are greeted by a sweet little kitchen. I like that the bottom and top cabinets are different colors and her SMEG fridge is just darling.
Let’s head into the bedroom!
The bathroom floor details is so fun, I like that she chose to throw in color with the penny tiles and some personality.
There is also a washer and dryer upstairs right next to the bathroom. You really can move in! :) The weather is perfection right now, just saying! Thanks Caroline for the tour!
