The last time I got bangs was early 2009. Any time I cut my hair drastically was typically after going through a breakup. They say that you should never cut your hair after a breakup. This, I would agree with. I’ve always regretted it right after. I’ve also disliked having any hair on my forehead since I had horrible acne on my forehead when I was a freshman in high school that I am paranoid of anything “clogging my pores.”
So that last time I cut bangs – I did a long fringe thing. And then that lasted a few days before I started pinning them back swearing off bangs for the last time. I thought the hot punk rock look would be fun. Then I realized they were so high maintenance and with everything else being high maintenance, the last thing I needed was my bangs to be as well.
So for the past something years, I’ve been happy with no bangs. Then then I saw Kim Kardashian with clip in bangs that looked so amazing. I mean, she really can look amazing doing anything. And since then, I’ve always wanted clip in bangs but most looked like mop heads.
Guess where I finally decided to buy mine? SkyMall. Seriously. I was sitting on a flight with Mr. Wonderful and flipping through making fun of every single item in there when I gasped and said, “I want these!” and he told me to get them. And, I did. I brought them to my hair dresser who was so excited to cut and style them. I was a bit shy, unsure if the $50 was worth it, but it’s a cheap risk. Then, vola. I can have bangs and when I lose my guts, I can clip them out.
Here’s where I bought them. My hair isn’t very dark, but I did get the darkest one, #2 in dark brown and it’s a perfect match. Every one at the salon was watching and wanted their own. Now I get the best of both worlds! And of course, no more breakups in my future now that I’m married to Mr. Wonderful. My hair is thankful – and my heart too, of course.
Diana Elizabeth says every one who is ever curious about bangs, just spend $50 and get the clip ins! Do it!
