My working break is over, over my friends. It’s been a great last few weeks enjoying the holidays and getting life organized – as well as a new blog that’s up (come on over to the blog on desktop if you are reading elsewhere)! I went through nearly every drawer and cabinet to organize it and did a bit of purging as well. If we’re honest I did more refolding and moving things around, than I did purging.
Do you have a rule if you buy one, something must go? I like that rule, but I rarely do it. I still have a huge box in our laundry room waiting to donate! Benjamin’s like, can you just throw it away or drop it off now? But I’m convinced I can add more donations to it, only I haven’t…
However in this case, I did get rid of something when India Hicks sent over this backpack (which also comes in a gorgeous black gold version) I decided to get rid of my other backpack. The straps can tuck in too when you want to use it as a hand bag. Initial reversible belt is also India Hicks, as well as the link bracelet.
I am obsessed with Kate Spade’s botanical print. This pink blouse well, after I asked about it seeing it on a gorgeous gal at the LA Create & Cultivate conference, I immediately logged on to the site from my phone and bought it as I walked to my next class. I’m eying the botanical print tote here – the print is reversible so you can wear it solid pink, or the botanical side on the outside!
Thanks for spending some of your day with me.
I’ve had an incredible break from work – a week before Christmas and a few weeks after New Year it is slower which I love. After years of doing this I expect it and it allows me to schedule dedicated time to reorganizing and working on the house with this home expansion. It’s been so important for me to be home to make decisions, check on the progress every single day to make sure things aren’t missed. But even though I say it’s a break from work, it was never 100% of a break – the new blog design took some time to perfect, and I’m so happy and thankful it’s done!
Now that we’re near the end of the expansion, it is time to get back to it and now that I have a bag that fits my laptop and camera equipment, I may not have much of an excuse to NOT get back to work. *wink*
