Air plant / Pot: Hobby Lobby
Amber again here, guest posting for Diana! We just wrapped up a new vacation rental with a fun modern bohemian style, and I was so excited when Diana asked me to share our latest vacation rental and decor style which is bohemian theme.
Here are my top 5 tips on incorporating a collected bohemian style without feeling like a total hippie.
1 / Woven Wall Hangings and Texture
Mirrors, framed artwork or texture pieces are very in right now. Switch up your walls by adding texture pick out a wall hanging they are easy to find. You can get them in any color to go with your decor and they come in different sizes.
You can also take a class and make one. If you want a special artisan made, check out Etsy.
Wall hanging: Home Goods
Blue wall weaving: Target
2 / Layered Pillows and Throws
To achieve a bohemian style, try using pillows in varying textures and colors – patterned metallics, dyed silks or velvets, and fun tufted and tasseled options too. Same goes for throws and bedding. Try a macrame, faux fur or a woven option draped off the foot of the bed or piled in a basket nearby for easy access to snuggle.
3 / Bring in some “real” life with plants fiddle fig, succulents, or air plants
Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree: Cost Plus World Market / Brass end tables: Target (clearance, similar) / Glass coffee table: IKEA
The tall fiddle fig from Cost Plus doesn’t always look awesome in the store, but if you tweak and position the leaves once you’re home, it will look great!
Fiddle Fig: Target / White Pot: Home Goods / Pink Rock light: Home Goods
^^ I love the small fiddle fig from Target. I staged it here in a little white plant stand I scored at a Home Goods.
Air plant / Pot: Hobby Lobby
Last tip, swing by Hobby Lobby and use the 40% off coupon to pick up an air plant located near their floral department. No one would ever be able to tell! Air plants really look exactly the same and almost have the same level of maintenance so you may as well just get a fake one!
4 / Decorative Carved Pottery + Wood Trays

Pottery vases: Hobby Lobby
Try layering different styles of carving, or a few pottery vases with different patterns grouped together on a tray.
Tray: Home Goods / Runner: Home Goods / Table: Living Spaces
5 / Mixing metals and adding rose gold
Don’t be afraid to mix metals. Just because you find a beautiful gold light fixture does not mean you have to change out all your cabinet hardware and accent pieces to match! Mixed metals give an eclectic look and gives it a lot of personality.
Bookshelf: IKEA / 2 woven lanterns: Home Goods
We love finding all kinds of unique pieces, and layering them together gives a mature collected look.
Texture Pillows: Home Goods / Bench: Home Goods / Rug: Living Spaces
Clock: TJ Maxx Clearance
If you love this home and want to stay, it’s available for long or short term in Scottsdale. Check out it out here.
