Benjamin thinks I collect chairs for the backyard. It’s kind of true. I’m always counting chairs and garden bench seats and how many people I can seat comfortably when I entertain in the backyard because no one wants to stand all day or night if they are hanging out!
For a long time I've been wanting to share my story about leaving the corporate world to be a full-time entrepreneur. It's a journey I only dreamed of and cannot believe it's been 8 years! I want to share how I concluded it was the right time for me to go out on my own, and how I prepared for it.
Have you ever loved something so much that when you see someone, you remove it off your body and insist they try it on? I have been doing that a lot lately (I have only done this once to a stranger lol) and when my friends try on my FitFlops they are like, Wow these are the most comfortable sandals and shoes they mold to your feet!
Between summer vacations and heading home to catch up on work it's boom-boom back to back appointments! It's the trade off for going on vacay right? My garden has been a little crazy from neglect but once the monsoons hit the weather dropped so I was up at 6 am two days in a row just hacking those weeds out of my beds! I was sharing my progress on Instagram and I had my Shamrock Farms Cold Brew Coffee & Milk in hand when a little bee thought it was a good idea to start his day off with a sip too, lol. I have yet to be stung so I sort of freaked on the video.
Benjamin was gone for a few days last week and friends often ask if I ever get bored when he's gone. Truthfully, it's a great time for me to be lazy and productive at the same time. I binge watch a lot, work a lot, and I get super messy when he's gone and then I clean up my tornado mess right before he gets home! It's the strangest thing, that I get more done ...
For the past few months I have been looking for a convertible backpack that I could use for travel and every day, and for work. It seemed impossible to find a backpack that was pretty, made of nice quality, and priced sensibly, in addition to the practical features I wanted, trust me I had been Googling for months! The closest ones I could find were diaper bags and well, that wasn't a feature I was looking for. *wink*
My girlfriends have always told me I get ready the quickest out of anyone they know. When a group of us went on our annual Vegas trip, I had posted on Instagram a photo of all of our Olay Regenerist products across the bathroom counter when we were getting ready together. Best friends share everything, including products that you really love!
House expansion plans are pretty much done and being finalized! Yay! We now have a large family room with a full bath and an area for a Murphy bed. I originally wanted just a powder room but then it made sense that if guests were coming, they should have a shower. This bathroom is going to be so pretty I'm going to be a little jelly it's not my daily bathroom.
