Pink Party: Women (and my dad) Make the Difference Event

A few days after we got back from our 12 days on the East Coast visiting my brother’s family and my best friend Michelle’s family, it was the WMTD event, this year a pink party!

This event brings women from across the Valley to a beautiful luncheon to raise money for two organizations, the Phoenix Dream Center and StreetLight USA. One focuses on recovery for teen girls.

I was also very happy my parents could come and financially support this so generously! They have heard about this event and I was glad I could bring them and they could enjoy the presentation, meal and chat with my friends.

Doing some charity work is really important to me. We all have different interests and cares for our community, whatever that is for you, I encourage you to get involved and see what you can do! That’s what I did — I made a call and asked what their needs were to decide what I enjoyed doing and here I am five years later.

I used to collect donations for the silent raffle and auction and the organization gave me a table to invite my friends to attend. Now, I’m strategic in who I invite because it’s not social hour (social hour is at my house all the time haha!) but this is intended to bring women who are willing to donate to an important cause. So I’m really thankful for my friends who have shown up over the years donating their services, goods, products, and opening their checkbooks (or swiping their credit card!) to give!

My sequin jumpsuit is from Free People I rented it from nuuly for the occasion! I’m wearing XS.
