Getting ready for the Super Bowl

It’s fun when your team makes the Super Bowl because it’s pretty uncommon. Benjamin would disagree since I’m a 49er fan, a lifelong one and it’s a long story but trust me. I’m from Northern California and we used to watch them practice in Roseville before they moved to Stockton.

Anyway! FINALLY! I’m sad they didn’t make it last year when Phoenix hosted ugh. But, it’s OK.

This year both sides of our family are in town so they will be over and I can have a small little party and I want to make it fun, especially for my dad who is crazy about them.

I also sent them to the game when they moved to the Levi’s stadium. They had so much fun and I’m glad my dad finally got to experience it. He was born and raised in San Francisco.

I found this cute pennant at Scottsdale Marketplace for $13 so I bought it and added some ribbon to it. I used a safety pin to put it on.

I’ll be making bows on the chandelier and setting it up on Friday or Saturday. I’ll try to take some pics and make a blog post afterwards just because I like to share and document for myself. Linking to the items below, some are Amazon so you can get them right away if you are planning on having a little party!

Also, here are some food ideas that are in the team colors. Niners and Chiefs are so close in color so you could just stick with this and it’s a good Super Bowl party!

  • Yellow and red mini peppers
  • Sodas in the colors (like Coke and Banana Cream by Olipop)
  • Vegetable chips (they have red)
  • Corn salad or corn on the cob
  • Strawberriese and watermelon
  • Mac and chese
  • Nacho cheese dip
