Lately my nails have taken a new length and shape – I love almond shaped and pointy nails! It’s been a journey of growing out my nails. The tips were getting a little brittle, especially since they become more pointy and can easily bend.

Sally Hansen has always been my go to for top and base coats and the new Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment has been helpful for my new nail journey – really!

While growing my weak nails out, I replaced my usual base coat/top coat combo, Sally Hansen Double Duty with Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment. This new formula is a base coat, top coat, growth treatment, strengthener, ridge-filler, brightener, and ultra-moisturizing nail treatment – all in one!

As a top coat, it gives pure shine for 10 days. I picked up the Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment and Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil at my neighborhood CVS.

Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil softens cuticles and cares for dry, brittle nails. If applying before a manicure or pedicure, remove thoroughly with soap and water or nail polish remover before applying nail enamel and reapply after nail polish is dry.

I would suggest waiting until your manicure is done then applying it at night. I love it because it refreshes my manicure look and it’s so dry in the desert, and I often use it when I’m heading out to meet a friend or nightly.

Do you like my ombre inspired nails? I’m going to teach you how to do it at home.

Step 1
Clean cuticles, shape nails. Apply one coat of Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment to clean nails.

Apply two coats of base color. Let dry. Apply alternate color at tips – it’s OK to be imperfect as you will sponge over it.

Step 3
Using an eyeshadow applicator, dip in nail polish and dab on nail. This can take a couple of tries and making sure polish isn’t too tacky. Let dry. Repeat.

Step 4
Immediately put on a top coat to get a smooth and blend the colors giving you an ombre look. You can use the Sally Hansen Complete Care 7-in-1 Nail Treatment since it’s also a top coat, or if you’re in a hurry, my go-to favorite has always been Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat which honestly dries it in a minute!
