5 IDEAS: CORPORATE HEADSHOT LOCATIONS

Getting ready for a corporate shoot or a new profile headshot? Here are some of my favorite spots and recommendations I give my corporate clients.

BUSINESS

IN FRONT OF AWARDS OR A UNIQUE LOCATION

A unique space with equipment are excellent backdrops or even a vault like this that is not accessible to the general public is a wow location!

1

YOUR LOCATION MATTERS - THE LOCATION AND PROPS SHOULD MAKE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PERSON DOES. A HEADSHOT CAN BE CREATIVE! IF IT CAN TELL A STORY - EVEN BETTER!

IN OFFICE

If the office is well-lit (I bounced a flash off the white ceiling) and it can easily tell a story of the person, shoot there! You can tell he's an architect, there are rolled up plans and he is at his drafting table.

2

CREATIVE WITH PERSONALITY

Hold the publication! You can tell she's an author and might even be an animated one!

3

ON LOCATION DOING YOUR THING

Hopefully you can tell Kate is a professional organizer (or that she likes a pantry).

4

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE

If there is strong signage of the building, why not shoot right in front of it? This was my client just standing directly in the sun.
