D
o you have your outdoor holiday up?

Our Christmas lights arrive next week and so that following weekend you know what we will be doing!

Outdoor Christmas Wreath with timer lights

I love the way a home looks with wreaths on the outside of the windows and now that we completed our front renovations and gone white and black with with our brick, I decided to go for it this season! I bought these early and they sold out but more are on the way so make sure you sign up for notifications. They have battery timers and last 6 hours. I start ours at 6 pm. Find these Outdoor Red Berry Pine Christmas wreaths and garland at Balsam Hill.

Red Christmas bows for Wreaths

I love red over the holidays and I like these bows to add to the wreaths. They really make them look magical and stand out – I put them on the bottom of the wreaths so the bows dangle. I use these Command hooks but I don’t use the stickers they come with, I use the 3M velcro because I think they are stronger!  Find a Giant red bow at Michaels on sale.

When our home was complete, my best friend Meagan said she loved the look of the round globe lights, they were so classic and old school looking, traditional and old world! I was sold, only to find most were glass and Benjamin was not into it. So, I kept searching for plastic globe lights and love these! They are warm white. Find these Christmas globe lights here: black string, white string.

Front Doormat

I’ve had the same Christmas doormat from Pottery Barn I’ve been using for the past few years, and I love new doormats! I decided I wanted something simple, and this was just sweet and the font won me over – classic! It’s from H&M and they are currently very slow with shipping, but you can be notified when it comes back in stock here.

Dusk to Dawn Dimmer and Timer

It does exist!! The LED string lights I bought were Griswold bright, like WOWza that my neighbors would hate me – so I found a dimmer but also one the turns on when it gets dark and will turn off it senses the sun! Perfect! You could also time it to only stay on a few hours but I don’t think 5 hours will be enough for us when we entertain and I want our lights on when our guests depart.

Found it on Amazon for under $25. The only thing I want is a mode so I could get twinkle lights but it’s OK – the most important is that we dim down these lights and they go on at the right time!

Diana Elizabeth had to buy white and black string lights because of the fascia board is black and the garage is white! They thought maybe they could skip the string lights but we think we should just go for it – after all, we added so many outlets up top just for Christmas lights so let’s go all out, 2020 has been a rough year!
